Malham Cove
Malham Cove is a spectacular 70 metre limestone cliff just north of the village.
At its base a resurgence spring leaves the rock, forming Malham Beck which
eventually flows into the River Aire. The Cove was once a gigantic waterfall
which has cut back from the Mid Craven Fault. Peregrine falcons are now nesting
on the Cove.
