PE Department : 2007-2008
AIMS OF THE DEPARTMENT
At Woodhey we
aim to provide a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum for all age groups
together with an extensive programme of exra curricular sport which is accessible
to all pupils regardless of ability. We aim to provide an enjoyable, happy
and relaxing environment for everyone.
The Physical Education department aims to provide sporting opportunities and
memorable experiences for all our pupils. Firstly we want all pupils to reach
their full potential. We hope that students will then realise the importance
of leading a healthy lifestyle and keeping fit, both during their years at
school and into adult life. Secondly, we wish to pursue excellence at local,
regional and hopefully national level; winning competitions, trophies and
matches with outstanding teams in a wide range of games and individual activities.
