Congratulations to Rachel Cookson - 2009 Classical Sequence Under 16’s Nationwide Champion

Rachel has been dancing since the age of six and competes in the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) Medallist of the Year competitions in Ballroom, Latin, Classical and Modern Sequence, as well as in a Supadance League.
She has won numerous Under 12 and Under 16 titles in the North West Area, not to mention winning the Classical Sequence and Modern Sequence North West Area Title twice on the trot in both the Under 12 and then in the Under 16 competitions.
In April 2009 Rachel competed at The Forum in Wythenshawe in the Classical and Modern Sequence North West Area, winning both titles. She then went on to dance at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool in the National Finals in October 2009 (dancing against other students from all over the country) and became the 2009 Classical Sequence Nationwide Under 16 champion.
Her Mum and Dad, the rest of her family and dance teachers are really proud of her and wish her the very best of luck as she now moves up an age group to the Under 21s.
